UNWRP - I’m Obsessed

I’m sure I’m late to the show on this one, but here’s my latest obsession - UNWRP.

As someone who worked in ecommerce since it’s inception (yes, I’m that old) the founder story takes me back to the ‘good old days’.

“UNWRP was founded in 2017 by Ashley L. Fouyolle, a multidisciplinary designer, who started the company in a small bedroom of her Brooklyn apartment.”

On top of that, they sell gorgeous wrapping paper. I learned the skill of gift wrapping from my former boss at babystyle.com. Andrea Stanford was and is a style icon and I tried to copy everything she did on my limited ‘fresh out of college’ budget. The way UNWRP goes into meticulous detail regarding how to properly wrap a gift gives me a giggle because I have been annoying people my entire life with my expert wrapping skills. ;-)

Ashley also has a feature called ‘The Culture List’. Instead of trying to define it, I will just use their own words:

‘Throughout the years, I’ve always noticed that I am usually one of only a few Black people in the crowd at different cultural events. This got me thinking, “Are people not hearing about the same events as I am.. or am I the only one interested in live events/experiences?” Of course, the latter is NOT true!
